What’s Next?

Well, as it turns out, it’s hard for me to feel like I have real news to share when I don’t have another full-length book publishing this year, and when the one I am working on is a bit of a secret. *Cue sad trombone*

What can I tell you about this new project?

  • It’s a fairytale retelling.
  • It combines TWO fairytales.
  • It’s not connected to either of my other series.
  • It has MAGIC!
  • It will be released in March.
  • For the first time in any of my books, the MMC will be a PRINCE.

I’ve just finished the rough draft and will be sending it to my developmental editor in a few weeks.

What else is in the works?

I think I’m ready to write another contemporary, and now that this rough draft is finished, I can actually get serious about deciding what that will look like. Should I do a romcom? Romantic suspense? Workplace romance? Something to do with the holidays or seasons?

I don’t know! But I’m excited to figure it out. And in case y’all didn’t know, I’ve written four contemporaries already, and even if you’re usually a fantasy reader and are only here for my fairytale retellings, I think you’d still like my contemporaries. *Wink Wink Nudge Nudge*
