Hello, my lovelies,
I just got back from a family reunion that was long overdue. I think it’s been a decade since we all made it to a family reunion. And when I say all, I just mean my parents and my six siblings. We weren’t able to collect all of the in-laws and grandkids and grandkids-in-law, but it was a solid group of 45 people running around a giant house with a gorgeous view of the lake. It filled my soul, but I came back the kind of tired that you only get from too much sun, too many late nights, and laughing harder than I have in months.
Now I get to settle down to the business of developmental edits for Exes & Other Unexpected Guests. I’ve already added three new scenes, and I have at least three more to write. No major rewrites this time, though! So I must be getting a little bit better at this writing thing.
I’m so happy with how it’s turning out, y’all. It’s warm and funny and swoony in the best way, and I can’t wait to get it into your hands. August 25th is coming fast!
In the meantime, if you are looking for something to read while you wait, I’d love to point you toward my one other romcom, All That Stands Between Us, which is full of random silliness. The humor in my books does not revolve around insults or anything truly cringy. I do fun humor, not cruel humor. Humor that makes you giggle and sigh and swoon.
Because I’m all about the swoon.
