It’s Giving RomCom Vibes

I’m in the middle of a busy few weeks. So naturally, because life was already crazy, we got a puppy!

This is Maisy! She’s my little buddy, a Malshi (Maltese/Shih Tzu) who keeps me on my toes and reminds me why babies (whether animal or human) are so cute (house training is no joke, y’all). Seriously, look at this face!

Okay, on to the other busy-ness. I was in Colorado for the last five days. We stayed in a little town in Colorado called Fruita, near Grand Junction, and it was giving major small town romcom vibes!

The little walkable downtown area was truly adorable. I mean, Gazebo? Come on! It was excellent inspiration for my Honeybrook series, and reminded me that adorable small towns aren’t just fictional. They really do exist! But if you want to visit a fictitious one in August, be sure to preorder Exes & Other Unexpected Guests.

On top of that, I’m heading out for a week-long camping trip on Sunday. My line edit for Exes & Other Unexpected Guests is scheduled for Friday and I still need to finish the epilogue.

No idea how I’m getting it all done, but it will happen one way or another!

While we were driving the 10 hours to Colorado, I managed to get a scene written for my next book that will take place in Tavric and Lyri’s world, so I patted myself on the back for that. I honestly had no plans to write anything in their world once Tangled Sails was done, but there you have it! I can’t help myself. I love turning side characters into main characters.

So that’s the news from me! 6 weeks til Exes!
